Pfiffige Blockflötenklänge aus Bretten - dafür steht das im Jahr 1993 gegründete Blockflötenensemble Picobella. Unter der Leitung des Karlsruher Blockflötisten Daniel Koschitzki probt das Ensemble in der Schulzeit einmal wöchentlich, immer mittwochs von 20.30 bis 21.30 Uhr im Dorfgemeinschaftshaus Dürrenbüchig. Picobella führt engagierte Amateurspieler, ausgebildete Flötisten und studierte Pädagogen in einer Gruppe zusammen. Ihnen allen ist eines gemeinsam: Die Freude an der Musik und die Lust auf frische Blocklfötenklänge.

Das Repertoire von Picobella ist bunt und vielseitig. Mit prächtigen Canzonen und Ricercaren der Renaissance, glanzvollen Barockkonzerten, fetzigen Jazzrhythmen und experimentierfreudiger Avantgardemusik deckt die Gruppe eine breite Klangpallette ab, die ihre Zuhörer immer wieder in Staunen und Begeisterung versetzt. Das Instrumentarium des Ensembles reicht von der 25 cm langen Sopraninoflöte bis zum 1,50 hohen Vierkant-Kontrabass in F. Diese werden mit kräftigem Atem und viel Spaß zum Tönen und Schwingen gebracht, sei es in vierstimmigen Ensemblestücken oder in elfstimmigen Orchesterwerken.

Die Gruppe spielt regelmäßig im süddeutschen Raum Konzerte oder wirkt musikalisch bei Gottesdiensten oder Ausstellungseröffnungen mit. Gerne können Programme auch auf die Wünsche und Vorstellungen eines Veranstalters angepasst werden.
